Over the years and across different geographic areas a variety of building codes have governed manufactured housing. This course provides an overview of the codes that govern manufactured homes, and the history of such codes. Manufactured housing is unique in that it is the only type of housing construction in the United States that is federally regulated. In many cases, the insulation standards and other construction details are important factors related to the age of the home.

There are many different weatherization measures that can be taken to reduce energy loss. The specific measures for any given home will be determined by the unique characteristics of that home, but in general, those measures that are determined to be most cost-effective and achieve the most improvement in overall energy efficiency will be the ones chosen. This course also includes instructions and methods for properly performing insulation remediation in manufactured homes.

After making your way through the course and passing the lesson quizzes, your training will conclude in a final exam to verify that you have learned the course material.
